Best New Blog Title?

Help needed….

I’m thinking about changing the title of this blog to something more catchy in the near future; to something which is much easier to remember, like others which with much success are using titles such as cosmic variance, cocktail party physics, entropy bound, or sum over histories.

I have made up a few favorite potential titles, and would be very happy if you would cast a vote: pick the three best suggestions from the list below and rank them with one, two or three stars. Here’s the list:

a. THE HIDDEN SECTOR

b. THE CONFORMAL BLOG

c. ZERO MODE

d. THE FIXED POINT

e. THE CONIFOLD

f. THE CHIRAL RING

g. ULTRASHORT BLOG

Pick your three favorites (with one * – three ***). I’m looking forward to getting your help and seeing the final result ;-)

(Note: all the titles above are – in one way or another – related to theoretical high energy physics; the “hidden sector” refers to fields that couple to the Standard Model fields only through gravitational-strength interactions; in quantum field theory, a “fixed point” is a quantum theory whose physics is scale-invariant; and the “chiral ring” is the OPE algebra of chiral fields, and so on….)

Since nobody has commented yet – my favorites are: THE FIXED POINT, ZERO MODE and THE CONFORMAL BLOG (some people, LQG guys included, might discover the joke implicit in the last name… ;-)

“Bubbles of nothing” would be the best choice.
(After reading your comments on “extreme aggression”.)

    what about THE CONIBLOG?

Thanks for the suggestions – I did actually thing about “BON”; however, Coni** is like “Connie” in danish which is a really horrible name – in my taste ;-)

OK Kids, This is might high-falutin’.

Here is something that should be a no brainer, yet … I challenge you…

Every baby knows (the Erdos phrase) that the shortest distance between two points on a sphere is the great circle route.

OK. calculus of variations will give a LOCAL answer. Though damned messy.

    How about a global one?

Better yet, how about an easy global proof that the great circle is right — say via Cauchy-Schwarz (hmm…)

I personally think “The Hidden Sector” will be good. I will reflect a mystery with a strong message that the “sector” has thoroughly been meditated.

I *Need* help also about my title. It is quite complicated to me because I have been using different term in the subdomain ( please see http://sahasara.blogspot.com ) and been using feedburner service. About the title itself, will it be better if I change to (The) Chronicles to (Spiritual) Enlightnements ?

Well, I don’t know, what “Chronicles to (Spiritual) Enlightenments” means, but its a very long and complicated name… ;-)

    Good luck!
